A ban makes complete sense. These are the folks who would keep this technology out of the hands of civilians, but it is fine in the hands of the government. Why can a cop own an AR and you can't? Check to see which of those sponsors of those bills has stock or owns interest in any of their competitors. There is always a personal interest. Nobody, especially the government, cares that much about your safety or security.

With DJI geo-fencing in the Fly app, what kind of sensitive data can be collected? We cannot fly anywhere close to the airport, let alone the military ones.

I always watch videos to the end, when t I have the time I play them a second time and allow all the commercials to play instead of skipping them. I don’t know how much this helps a channel , but I read somewhere it is of benefit to the channel. If anyone knows if it helps or not I would appreciate any info on the subject.

Draw eyes on your drones, I used a magic marker and drew a set of eyes on the front and back of my drones. It sounds silly , but most birds have excellent vision. Since I put the eyes on them I’ve had zero bird encounters. Another good tip is if any bird starts being aggressive toward your drone, come to a stop and as soon as forward movement has stopped hit the throttle and go straight up. This is something no bird can do and when they see the drone doing it does make them stop chasing and diving at your drone. I have not had to use the vertical flight method since I put the eyes on my drones. Barn swallows are as bad as gulls when your near their barn, the eyes even worked on them.

It’s not the average hobbyist and his/her DJI drone that concerns me. It’s the company out there that has replaced helicopter inspections of infrastructure with drone flights that does concern me where these drones could be used to gather targeting data. Infrastructure changes constantly. New construction is also monitored in many cases with drones. As for DJI not risking losing the American market, that is sort of a silly thought honestly, we are talking China here, Chinese companies don’t get to chose wether or not they risk or don’t risk anything, the gov decides that, and they do what the gov tells them to do. They have zero choice in the matter. My opinion is there is a risk some of these drones are compromising our national security. It’s a known fact that our relations with China is deteriorating and likely to become more and more strained moving forward. So how much risk to something like national security is acceptable? It’s rhetorical , not looking for answers, just trying to provoke thought. Personally, I can’t support a company that’s a potential risk to my nations well being. Anyone that thinks we are not currently in jeopardy needs to wake up, Chinese military aged males traveling alone or in small groups with other similarly aged males crossing our borders has went up something over 300 percent in the last 18 months or so. That means something bad whether people can accept that or not, it’s real and happening every day. Everyone should pray for peace. Don’t research DJI, research China.

Always like your video's how much did it cost to get your M4P fixed (you did get it fixed right ?) - I am currently training on way points and looking to change the drone speed at different way points - is this possible or do I need third party software to do that ? Also do you have a recommended tablet to use with the controllers ?

This is probably the most likely case people can use that don't like drones flying over them: 14 CFR Part 107.39 § 107.39 Operation over human beings. No person may operate a small unmanned aircraft over a human being unless- (a) That human being is directly participating in the operation of the small unmanned aircraft; (b) That human being is located under a covered structure or inside a stationary vehicle that can provide reasonable protection from a falling small unmanned aircraft; or (c) The operation meets the requirements of at least one of the operational categories specified in subpart D of this part.

So, if DJI is not worried about losing that market share, then why would they be licensing their product? To be sold by other companies. And they may not be collecting that data. But they can. Collect that data. Do you put all your data out on the Internet? Do you use antivirus? Don't worry. It won't happen to you. Is that the approach you would like the USA to take?

I'm in New Zealand and a beginner. I have a DJI Mini 2 SE, I've bought an Air 3 Fly more combo. Watching your video has been very informative. A lot to learn especially with the features of the camera. Look forward to watching more of your videos.

Hi, I think one of the concerns is that the DJI devices/technology could potentially be used as a vector for cyber attacks and spying, not just collecting data. They could potentially be used as a 'relay' or such. That said, could we say that of other done brands - why not ?

Can you tell me if this drone has a follow me or active track mode?

As a pilot for many years I could never get used to pushing forward on the little "stick" to go up and pulling back to go down. Opposite of what you do in a real plane! I asked DJI to make a software option where a user could change/reverse the up/down but never happened. Does the software in the DJI Mini 4K allow you to do that?
